macOS and Linux

Only simulation tools are available for macOS and Linux systems. They can be downloaded only as portable packages. Since nextnanomat is available only for Windows, you can run it on Linux using tools such a Wine; However, it will not work smoothly here.

  1. For some of these packages, the file permissions have to be manually added to the scripts (.sh) and executable files. Run chmod a+x nextnano++/bin/*.exe, chmod a+x nextnano3/bin/*.exe, and chmod a+x scripts/*.sh.

  2. The Linux executables may also work on CentOS, SUSE, and AlmaLinux.
